The islands that make up the modern day Commonwealth of San Andreas do not have many records to support the existence of human inhabitants on the island before the arrival of Spanish explorers in 1510, records do show that the islands of San Andreas have drastically changed in landscape, agriculture, and environment throughout the centuries since the arrival of explorer Jose Fernando, who landed in what is now Los Santos, in the State of San Andreas. Fernando had been tasked by Queen Joanna of Castile, who later in 1511 tasked Fernando to look for new territories within the Pacific Ocean for Spain to develop colonies and who eventually would come across an Archipelago of Islands located 400 miles west of the Coast of the US State of California.
After Fernando completed his initial surveys of the island of San Andreas, comprised of modern Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas, Bone County, Tierra Robada, Flint County, and Red County, he set sail back to Spain in 1516, highlighting the potential of the Archipelogo of San Andreas which comprise the entire states of San Andreas, Oscot, New Anglo, Shira, Wazdo, Coppen, Larkston, and Sierra which make up the entire Commonwealth of San Andreas, with the State of San Andreas making only the 5th largest state in the commonwealth. The Spanish Empire would begin to settle the island. In 1804, inspired by the American Revolution and the Haiti Rebellion of slaves, the republican movement mainly comprised of French, Portuguese, English, and en-slaved races on the Archipelago launched their own independence war known by scholars today as the San Andreas Revolutionary War between Ex-Spanish General Fransico Lopez with his San Andreas Long Rifles versus the Spanish Army. The fighting was drawn-out, due to a disorganization between different rebel cells within the Archipelago, and confusion within the structures of leadership and goals, but they eventually were able to beat back the Spanish Army with the new french ruler of Spain Joseph Bonaparte recalling them from the colony in order to protect his new kingdom.
In 1810 the Republic of San Andreas was founded, with General of the San Andreas Long Rifles becoming the first president of the newly established Republic of San Andreas. President Lopez however, officially never completed his term in office, as in the year 1813, a small British fleet under the command of Commodore Nelson of the British Navy, landed on the shores of newly established San Andreas Republic with two companies of royal British marines. President Lopez, although having commanded the San Andreas Long Rifles during the revolutionary war, he was unprepared for a counterattack from an outside power after demobilizing most of his army after winning the battle for independence with Spain. The British were able to officially take over the entire archipelago, in a single month and ousted President Lopez from his newly found seat of power. He was exiled from the island soon after. In 1966 the Commonwealth of San Andreas was formed and the first governor general had been appointed.
Although the Cold War brought instability in some cases to the newly formed state, it also lead to great investment from nations such as Cuba, Venezuela, United States, Britain, and other nations who used their cold war hysteria to either try and encourage or prevent a communist take-over of San Andreas. A policy government officials have used to develop more social programs for native San Andreasians.
The above is merely a snippet of the world being created for our server, with the full story of it being found. We at Legacy take great pride in developing a roleplay experience unique to our own community, in an attempt to stand out from the many servers operating on a similar familiar to the next server. Our Administration Team divided and with proper delegation work hard to ensure you the player, that Legacy Roleplay is the server that you can feel comfortable enough to make a home for yourself. A few features of our server can be found below. Why should I play Legacy? Well, there isn't one reason we at Legacy believe you should roleplay with us, but a multitude of reasons we shall sum up in bullet points.
Friendly and Responsive Staff. Our staff is responsive to the needs of the community, and you can be sure to always find a voice of reason within the team if you ever have a dispute or concern that you feel needs to be brought up. An IC State Government.
All affairs for government and legal factions will fall under the direction of an IC State Government as detailed. Factions will actually have internal budgets, and the IC State Government will be in charge of matters relating to funding, removals, etc to avoid OOC administration in cases it's unnecessary. Bills are also voted regularly as can be seen. A full outline of it can be found too. Actions have consequences. PS runs out of money, then they'll have to take IC actions like striking, or other means to get money if the government won't provide more.
Vehicles getting destroyed also have zero OOC protections, so if they get destroyed they are deleted. The point is, OOC protections on things do not exist in Legacy.
If it happens, it will be dealt with ICly. A dynamic not commonly seen in servers. Dynamic Weapon and Drug Supply System - This is all explained. We're here to roleplay, and rather then spawning things out of thin air for people to have them we're taking the initiative to create roleplay with it in a manner consistent with the server story to make it fun and inclusive for everyone. Lack of unintelligent trolls or intolerable behavior.
With our Character Creation system, no longer will you have characters regularly disregarding their life and making new characters in seconds. Every character must have a backstory, and must be approved by an admin on the UCP before even connecting to the server. Ensuring that we keep a standard of professional english, and intelligent roleplayers while weeding out the bad. Immersive roleplay experience. As can be seen in this. We have worked hard to create a world that allows us the freedom we need to do as we wish, without restrictions of the real life world in all aspects which can at times serve as an unnecessary hindrance in the types of roleplay we wish to engage in.
Fully fleshed out. Along with systems to give players that are player-run.
Full, for how Saint Andrews came to be. Bug fixes are quick, and can be easily tracked by players. We value roleplay, over stat-whoring. Jobs have cooldowns to prohibit the endless grinding of jobs, in order to encourage players to seek out roleplay opportunities to make money.
Many, many, more. We cannot in this small post, detail all the neat mechanics behind the scenes, but we at Legacy really value creativity in our roleplay. And we do not wish to unnecessarily hinder potentially mindblowing types of roleplay that in most cases would be restricted by numerous OOC regulations, bias, or other reasons that lead to you having an unsatisfying experience.
Uses the public gta5 hud that uses 50% of your cpu. Would not recommend playing if you dont have a modern PC or dedicated graphics card. This is constructive criticism that can be proven.
To add to the GTA V HUD they are also using the graffiti system recently added to the community as well and did not note any credits of that on their thread related to the graffiti system. Guess it's always the servers that use someone else's work that get attention on MTA:SA. EDIT: Hell, even the City Hall map is public lol. Edited January 3, 2018 by Blast3r. I mean I dont mind them using public scripts its just that the gta5 radar mods use a lot of CPU. Most people who play MTA are playing it because they have: PCs so they just lost half their playerbase before even starting But yeh I agree they should credit you and others. Oh and wheres my credit for my siren system?

EDIT: Hell, even the City Hall map is public lol. I don't know if you script or not, but I am going to respond to you. Scripters put hard work into some systems that they plan to use for themselves, and if those projects don't fall through in order for their work not to be in vain, they publicly release them. Why else would there be a section for 'Publicly Released Scripts,' if you judge someone for using said scripts?
Logic really doesn't fall through.and is actually a little insulting to the scripters who make it then the people who use it. Just two cents on that matter.
And of course, if people asked if we made it, we just tell them no it's public. Not like we're hiding that. Ofcourse I'm judging someone for using publicly released scripts ON TOP of a not so publicly released but rather leaked script (valhalla Gaming, owl Gaming, both versions were leaked without owner's permissions). I see absolutely no originality in your script considering you had to add other people's work to make it look more appealing to your playerbase, which is rather sad and funny at the same time.
Thanks for enlightening me that scripters put hard work in their scripts and the systems, did not know that, guess that's something you learned while editing other people's work, congratulations mate. And to answer your question, yes I do script. Edited January 3, 2018 by Blast3r. Owlgaming was made from Valhalla, and even LSRP on SAMP came from a Public Enemy script. The script is not the decider of roleplay, it's the players who do that. If you judge your entire experience based on a script for a roleplay server, then you're not actually giving roleplay on the server a chance. Just 'Same script, I quit.'
And we never claimed we were completely custom at all and openly admit we're not. No where in this did we say 'Custom Script 100%!' Merely just said that it is actual ROLEPLAY. So like.you're kinda blowing smoke here friend. I would completely agree with you had we been a community that uses public scripts etc, and claim it's 100% custom.
But we haven't done that in the slightest. Why do servers think it's okay to use stolen and leaked scripts if they admit they're using it? You're actually admitting to something that can be seen all the way out of a plane mate, saying other communities also use stolen code does NOT make it any better (there's a reason why I noted valhalla Gaming's scripts in the last thread), I don't support neither you nor Owl Gaming in any way. Issue itself is that nowadays MTA Roleplay is based on who's going to edit the script at the perfect time (when the previous community is at it's weakest point) and then people just move on to the other server which is basically the same: with no originality but still offers players a brand new start.
The lack of originality in nowadays MTA servers is worrying. Anyway, I'll refrain from further posting here from now on to avoid further drama, good luck in using someone else's work I guess. I just wanted to simply respond to the first part. They admit it, because it's honest.
And it's the law. I don't know if you know much about Copyright law, but this is how it works. You are free to use work that has been released in some fashion, as long as you give credit to the original creators unless trademarked or under copyright. And no script made on MTA or SAMP is copyrighted/trademarked as the one who would hold that is Rockstar Games since this is their platform. So technically under international law, nobody owns anything here.
Rockstar does. Just a small course in how the law works. I just wanted to simply respond to the first part. They admit it, because it's honest. And it's the law.

Well since all this stuff is modding. We are discussing about ethical stuff, not laws. Give this guy a break. Yes the server is using leaked/stolen Owl scripts but at least he's improving it/customising the scripts. Althrough this doesn't justify his actions, it's a step in the right direction. We've seen and heard it all, a couple of servers starting from scratch and building their own roleplay gamemode in the course of 1-2 years.
What happened to those servers? They had a lifespam of 2 weeks.
It's not worth the risk. In MTA Roleplay it's as the following: You build your own RP gamemode from scratch: It fails. Build it from an already existing popular but stolen gamemode: It succeeds (F.ck logic right?). Owlgaming is dieng as the developers are putting more effort into their GTA 5 gamemode than in their already existing server, players are therefore looking for something that's new, stable, shows organisation/new ideas and shows somewhat of a capable scripting team (as you also got a lot of owl copies with people claiming they can script and showing 0 progress in months of time). Well, they found it here and they're happy with it. Edited January 6, 2018 by Forthwind.
